Partner program software

Pay people for the customers they bring you.

Partners earn a commission on each approved sale. Whoever recruited them earns a smaller override. ViralPayouts tracks it and pays everyone.

Move the sliders to set your price, what partners and recruiters earn, and how many sales partners bring you a month. You see who gets what from each sale, and how the ViralPayouts fee falls as your program grows.

Paid to the partner who brought the customer.

Paid to whoever recruited that partner. You can also set it as a share of the commission or a fixed amount.

A referral program nobody knows about refers nobody.

In most markets a buyer asks someone they trust before they buy: their accountant, their hairdresser, a tutor, a concierge. Call that person the gatekeeper. A commission gives the gatekeeper a reason to recommend you.

The harder problem is that gatekeepers have never heard of your program, and finding them one by one is the same cold outreach you were trying to avoid. A second level pays other people to do that finding. A recruiter earns only when a partner they brought in produces an approved sale, so signing up people who never sell earns them nothing.

This is a hypothesis, not a proven result. Two-tier commissions already exist in other tools. What ViralPayouts bets on is making the recruiter level the centre of the product. Whether it brings you more valid customers than a single level is something to measure: the console shows how many recruited partners became active and how many brought a customer.

Read the white paper for the model, the maths and what would prove it wrong.

Built and tested

What the software does today

  • 01Two links per partner

A customer link and a recruit link, kept separate. A sale never silently attaches a recruiter, and a recruit link never counts as a sale.

  • 02An override you have to define

Each program chooses whether the recruiter earns a share of the commission, a share of the sale, or a fixed amount. It is shown wherever the bounty is shown.

  • 03Sales reported by your server

A signed event API, and a signature-checked webhook if you sell with Stripe Checkout. Replays are ignored. A sale that matches nobody is listed for you, never guessed.

  • 04A ledger that only adds rows

Refunds and rejections write reversing entries for both levels and the fee. Nothing is edited or deleted, and every balance can be traced to its entries.

  • 05Payouts you can reconcile

Automatic transfers through Whop, or bank-transfer batches that stay owed until you record the payment reference. Exporting a file is never treated as paying.

  • 06A test network

The same software with simulated money and a time machine, so you can run your rules through hold periods and refunds before real partners join.

For your developer

Your server tells us about the sale.

  1. 1A partner’s link sends the visitor to your site with a referral code and a click id in the address.
  2. 2You keep both until the visitor pays.
  3. 3Your server reports the sale, signed with your program’s secret. Refunds are reported the same way.

Using Stripe Checkout? Put the two values in the session metadata and point a webhook at ViralPayouts instead.

Made-up examples

Who is the gatekeeper in your market?

Six invented businesses, to show how one sale is split. The roles are common ones; the companies and figures are illustrations, not results, and some sectors have their own rules about paid referrals.

  1. 1. The recruiter
Someone who knows a lot of accountants

Does not sell to the customer. Finds the gatekeeper and gets them into the program.

    Earns an override of
    $48
  2. 2. The gatekeeper
    An accountant or bookkeeper

Already chooses the software for every client they look after.

    Earns a direct commission of
    $240
  3. 3. The customer
A small company on an annual plan

Buys from: an accounting tool for small companies.
